NOBLE BARRISTER AND THE ABSOLUTES

Noble Barrister and the Absolutes are a scrappy, literate band out of the Bay Area's late ‘70s/early ‘80s punk and new-wave scene — a presence at the legendary Mabuhay Gardens, Le Disque, and Berkeley Square. Numerous gigs. No releases. Rumors persist that demos of crowd favorites like “Just Plain Bored,” “Parallel Parking,” and “Comin’ Round to Me” may be "in the can" somewhere.

Lo these many years — Noble is back. Two new songs. “And Yet”: a roaring political lament for anyone who’s had just about enough. “Slip Away”: a Rubber Soul-tinged reflection on the things that just can’t last forever. An A-side and a B-side, pressed together in the old 7” tradition.

Reported sightings of Noble’s alter ego Richard Nelson in Maine and Brooklyn. Alleged involvement in jazz and new music. Possibly five albums to be found on Bandcamp and elsewhere.

Still trying to straighten out this crazy world with a pen and a guitar. Still no plans to become a lawyer.
